Euros / Agency Group, a leading player in strategic communication and public affairs in Europe and Africa, announces the arrival of Thomas Reilly as Senior Advisor. With this appointment, the group strengthens its international positioning and expertise in strategic consulting in Europe and Africa.

Thomas Reilly will primarily focus on business and governmental relations at international, European, and African levels. He will support the group mainly across three strategic areas:

  • Support for European public affairs

His experience as Director of International Public Affairs at Shell and as a Senior Advisor at the law firm Covington will enable him to advise the group’s clients on complex issues related to European public affairs and trade relations, particularly involving the United Kingdom.

  • High-level consulting alongside Euros / Agency Africa

With his deep knowledge of Morocco and pan-African relations, Thomas will play a key role in the strategic consulting missions conducted on the continent alongside the group’s African team based in Casablanca, chaired by Salaheddine Mezouar and led by Lamiaa Bassim.

  • Support for “political due diligence” missions

Thanks to his diplomatic expertise and extensive career with the Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office, Thomas will provide in-depth analysis of political environments, international relations, and geostrategic and geopolitical issues, thereby strengthening country environment analysis missions for businesses and investors.

Biography of Thomas Reilly: 

With British and Irish nationalities, Thomas Reilly has over 25 years of experience in diplomacy and public affairs, now advising companies and large groups on their strategic issues. He was the UK Ambassador to Morocco (2017–2020), strengthening diplomatic and commercial ties between the two countries. Prior to that, he was Director of Government Relations at Royal Dutch Shell (2012–2017), navigating complex global regulatory environments.

Earlier in his career with the Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office, he served as British Ambassador to Morocco and Mauritania (2017–2018), Deputy Head of Mission at the British Embassy in Egypt (2010–2012), Deputy Head of the Climate Change and Energy Department (2007–2009), and Deputy Head of the Counterterrorism Department (2005–2007). He has lived and/or worked in several countries, including Jordan, Kuwait, Yemen, Libya, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and Argentina.

Thomas Reilly has an in-depth knowledge of Morocco’s economic and political affairs, as well as an understanding of diplomatic and commercial dynamics in Africa, making him particularly valuable to the group’s Moroccan and African clients. His analyses and personal networks enable navigation of challenging regulatory, political, and commercial environments on the continent.

In addition to his role within Euros / Agency Group, he is also a Senior Advisor at Covington, where he works with their Global Problem Solving Group to advise companies on complex and international regulatory issues in the UK, Europe, and the MENA region.
