CHALLENGES
The Grand Paris Express, Europe’s largest transport infrastructure project, was suffering from a lack of visibility within European institutions. Société du Grand Paris therefore chose Euros / Agency Group to represent its interests and develop its influence with European institutional players, in particular to obtain funding for the project.
APPROACH
Orchestration of a public affairs campaign aimed at enhancing the visibility of the Société du Grand Paris (SGP) in general, and the Grand Paris Express project in particular:
- Implementation of legislative, regulatory, and European funding monitoring
- Expansion of SGP’s visibility on the European stage (support in organizing an exhibition project at the European Parliament in Strasbourg)
- Creation of position papers and development of key messaging
- Identification of and support in drafting calls for proposals
- Execution of technical and political lobbying actions and organization of a meeting plan (Paris, Brussels)
RESULTS
- Response to several calls for projects (EIM, LIFE+) and obtaining a European grant of nearly 64 million euros under the remaining credits from the EIM
- Obtaining transparent parliamentary support for the organization of a Greater Paris Express exhibition project in the European Parliament
- Strengthening SGP’s visibility in Brussels with the European Commission’s administrators and MEPs on a political level
- Taking SGP’s interests into account in the revision of European regulations (transport sector)
