The Public Affairs teams of Euros / Agency Group, both in Paris and Brussels, were out in force on 5–6 November for the first-ever edition of the Public Affairs Summit Brussels 2025 — a new landmark event dedicated to the European public affairs community. Held in the heart of the Belgian capital, the summit brought together a wide range of experts, leaders and practitioners to discuss the fast-evolving institutional landscape in Europe.
A new must-attend forum for public affairs
The Public Affairs Summit is the first format combining expert conferences, thematic workshops, exhibitor spaces and networking opportunities specifically designed for public affairs professionals. Its purpose: to create a structured forum for dialogue between institutions, companies, consultancies, academics and young talents around Europe’s major transitions and the reinvention of public affairs practices.
Euros / Agency Group’s contribution
Among the highlights of the two-day event, Donatienne Brillant, Head of Public Affairs France, and Thomas Murray, Head of our Brussels office, co-led a workshop focused on the current French political sequence, marked by unprecedented instability:
-
a snap dissolution that failed to stabilise the political landscape,
-
persistent social distrust,
-
a National Rally firmly established in voting intentions (35–37%),
-
a budget under pressure and sharp fiscal divides,
-
a weakened executive,
-
and Franco-German balances that need to be reframed.
During the session, Donatienne Brillant emphasised:
“When everything is shifting in the political landscape, the key is not to wait for stability to return, but to understand the movement so you can act with coherence and purpose.”
Their contribution showcased the complementarity of expertise across our French and Brussels teams, united by a shared ambition: helping economic actors navigate, understand and anticipate the institutional dynamics shaping their environment.
A pivotal moment for French public life
As France moves towards decisive political deadlines — the budget vote, municipal elections, senatorial elections, and already the 2027 presidential horizon — companies have a critical role to play: staying present in the public debate, supporting the emergence of a new generation of political leaders, and strengthening democratic dialogue through explanation and training.
