CHALLENGES

For the Net-Med Youth Forum, the closing event of the project in Brussels, UNESCO needed support in promoting its project to the relevant media in order to strengthen its visibility among European public decision makers.

  • Prepare a press kit as well as a press release for the journalists,
  • Prepare an op-ed and contact for publication
  • Support the promotion of the event on social networks, media monitoring

RESULTS

  • More than 200 journalists contacted
  • Over 6 million Twitter users reached by the event
  • Increase in Facebook followers by 185% and reached 28,000 accounts
  • 2 European publications (Euractiv and Agence Europe) published the op-ed
